Sofitel El Gezirah Hotel Cairo: Unwind from your long journey as your Adventure Guide checks you into this elegant, French contemporary-style hotel in the heart of the city, overlooking the Nile River.

Dinner On Your Own: Your Adventure Guide can make suggestions for an incredible first meal at the hotel, choosing from a variety of restaurant options including Asian fusion, French, authentic Moroccan, and even a Mediterranean-style buffet.

Day 2 – Welcome Breakfast at the Hotel
Say "Sabaah al kheer!" to greet your fellow adventurers in Egyptian Arabic during an exclusive buffet breakfast in the hotel's Moroccan restaurant. After the meal, your Adventure Guides will provide an informative orientation to your upcoming itinerary.

The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities: Join an Egyptologist for a privately guided tour of Egypt's most famous museum. Discover the world's largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities on this fascinating tour as Junior Adventurers join the Adventure Guides for an art detective game.

Lunch in Al Azhar Park: As graceful minarets rise against the horizon, take in the panoramic views of Cairo at this historic park located in the city center. Then settle in at the Citadel View Restaurant for a set menu of Middle Eastern cuisine that includes fresh-baked pita breads with tahini, babaganoush and hummus, as well as mouth-watering grilled meats.

Visit the Citadel of Saladin and the Great Mosque: Join your Adventure Guides and an Egyptologist for a fantastic tour of the massive medieval Saladin Citadel.

Welcome Dinner at the Hotel: Share your day's experiences with your fellow adventurers at this exclusive 3-course dinner. Savor your choice of meals from a set menu of international and Middle Eastern specialties as a stunning view of the Nile River stretches before you.

Evening Entertainment: After dinner, sit back and let the dulcet strains of Arabic music enchant you as local musicians perform on traditional instruments such as the qanun, oud, nay and riq.

Day 3 – The Great Pyramid of Giza & Pharaoh’s Boat Museum
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a 1-hour coach ride to Giza, where you will meet with an Egyptologist for a tour of the Great Pyramid. Then enter the Khufu Boat Museum and see the pharaoh's painstakingly restored "sun boat" that archaeologists unearthed beside the pyramid in 1954.

Camel Ride by the Pyramids & Temple of the Sphinx: Climb up for the ride of your life! Then come face-to-face with the Sphinx as you visit the funerary complex of the great Pharaoh Khufu.

Lunch at Khan Khalili Restaurant: Surrounded by jasmine-scented gardens, the sumptuous Mena House Oberoi is home to the celebrated Khan Khalili Restaurant. With a grand view of the pyramids, choose your meal from a set menu of delicious Egyptian dishes.

Papyrus Making and Hieroglyphics: Discover the ancient art of papermaking from a local expert using freshly cut strips of papyrus. Then get a taste of what it was like being an Egyptian scribe as you and your fellow adventurers learn how to write your name in hieroglyphics on your very own cartouche!

Dinner at Taj Al Sultan Restaurant: Gather with your fellow adventurers for a meal at the Taj Al Sultan Restaurant, whose dramatic décor features its own museum.

Stroll Through Khan El Khalili Market: Make your way deep into a bustling bazaar, also known as a souk, and experience scenes right out of Aladdin! Narrow alleyways wind past medieval archways through a dizzying display of tables and booths selling silver, rugs, pottery and more. As you explore the souk, stop by the fascinating Islamic monuments along the way.

Day 4 – Depart Cairo for Aswan
After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, say goodbye to Cairo and fly for 1.5 hours to magical Aswan, the venerable city on the banks of the Nile, also known as Upper Egypt.

Aswan High Dam: This famous dam not only tames the Nile so that it no longer floods the shores, but it's an engineering wonder that provides irrigation and even electricity for much of the country.

The M/S Tulip: Welcome aboard the M/S Tulip, your Nile cruise ship docked in Aswan. This "floating hotel" provides comfortable accommodations on your 3-day cruise from Aswan to Luxor. Enjoy the cool Nile breezes as you pass pastoral scenes on the river banks, the vast desert stretching into the horizon.

Lunch on the M/S Tulip: Take a break and dine aboard the ship with a casual buffet lunch featuring fresh salads and grilled meats.

Felucca Sailing on the Nile River: With a local expert at the helm, venture forth across the placid emerald waters of the First Cataract for a scenic excursion. This is where the ancient Egyptians believed the god of the cataracts dwelled, controlling the flow of the sometimes destructive waters.

Souvenir Shopping in Aswan: After you disembark the felucca, stretch your legs and stroll the colorful souk in the center of Aswan. Fortunately, the souk offers many tempting shopping opportunities.

Party On Board the M/S Tulip: The party starts with a savory dinner in the ship's dining room. Henna artists paint striking tattoos on willing arms and hands as the ship's crew sings, dances and performs live music as part of a vibrant Nubian Folkloric show.

Day 5 – Island of Angikia
Start your day with breakfast on the M/S Tulip before boarding a motor launch to cross the mighty Nile to the Island of Agilkia, home to several famous temples. With an Egyptologist as your private guide, explore the towering columns and mysterious hieroglyphs of the Temple of Philae.

Unfinished Obelisk: Commissioned by the only female pharaoh, Hatshepsut, this enormous obelisk would have been the largest in history had its sculptors not detected a crack in the granite and abandoned it in this bedrock quarry. An Egyptologist helps you examine the telltale markings that reveal the incredible technology employed by its creators.

BBQ Lunch: As you depart Aswan, indulge in a grilled lunch al fresco served on the sundeck of the M/S Tulip as you sail onward to the Temple of Kom Ombo.

Egyptian Cooking Class: Roll up your sleeves for this hands-on cooking demonstration where you will learn from a chef how to make two Egyptian specialties and a tasty dessert! After the lesson, enjoy the results of your culinary labors, as well as baklava with tea and coffee.

The Temple of Kom Ombo: With an Egyptologist, explore this temple that was long ago dedicated to the healing arts.

Junior Adventurers Dinner and Disney Movie Night: As adults indulge in a restful meal onboard the M/S Tulip, Junior Adventurers enjoy a private dinner with the Adventure Guides. Afterward, before everyone bids each other "Messa el rir," parents can curl up with their young ones for an exclusive engagement in the ship's lounge to watch a Disney movie.

Day 6 – Optional Edfu Temple Excursion
The day starts with a breakfast on the ship before you disembark the M/S Tulip for an optional trip to Edfu Temple. An Egyptologist introduces you to this beautiful, well-preserved temple dedicated to Horus, the god with a falcon head. Hear mesmerizing tales about gods and goddesses such as Isis, Hathor, Osiris and Horus before you discover the courtyards, storerooms and sacred artwork at your leisure.

Lunch On Board the M/S Tulip: Cruise down the Nile as you enjoy a casual buffet lunch. Pass through the Esna Locks and marvel at the modern wonders of river transport technology.

The Temple of Luxor: Colossal statues of pharaohs and gods pose regally between the imposing columns and obelisks as you tour this vast temple complex. Picture the breathtaking grandeur of a pharaoh's parade as you wander down the Avenue of the Sphinxes, the royal processional path that connects Luxor and Karnak temples.

Ride in Horse and Carriage: Climb into an ornate horse-drawn carriage for a private tour of the city of Luxor. Also known as a calash or hantoor, the carriage will carry you through the city sights.

Dinner On Board the M/S Tulip: Choose a satisfying meal from a select menu in your ship's restaurant and share stories about the day's exciting events.

Egyptian Night Party: After dinner, dress in traditional Egyptian clothing or don the costume of a historic celebrity such as Cleopatra or Marc Anthony for a lively night of entertainment. A belly dancer and a whirling dervish stir desert passions with their captivating movements and rousing musical performances.

Day 7 – The Temple of Karnak
Fuel up with a buffet on the M/S Tulip before an Egyptologist takes you on a private tour of this monumental temple complex. Countless columns, obelisks and carvings fill the three main temples of this extraordinary open-air museum, bordered by the Sacred Lake of Amun-Re.

The Valley of the Kings: An Egyptologist guides you into the famed location of over 60 tombs for pharaohs and nobles on the West Bank of the Nile. Follow your guide into the inner recesses of King Tut's tomb, one of the world's greatest archaeological discoveries unearthed by Howard Carter in 1922. Learn how this famous tomb turned the world of Egyptology upsidedown!

Travel to Sharm El Sheikh: After lunch, depart on a short flight to the coastal city of Sharm El Sheikh along the Red Sea.

Welcome Reception: Relax at a special welcome reception as your Adventure Guides check you into the Grand Rotana Resort & Spa Sharm El Sheikh. Settle into elegant surroundings in what's known as "the City of Peace" at the southern tip of the Sinai peninsula.

Private Beach Dinner Party: Gather on the hotel's private beach for an exclusive party just for Adventures by Disney! Lounge on Bedouin pillows amid the swaying palm trees as you indulge in Middle Eastern foods, such as pita breads with dipping sauces, and savory rice dishes served with grilled meats and sea foods.

Day 8 – Red Sea Snorkeling at Ras Mohammed
Board an exclusive boat and set sail to some of the most ravishing coral reefs in the world. Snorkel all day at Ras Mohammed National Park, the renowned underwater reserve that's home to over 130 kinds of coral reefs and over 1000 varieties of fish. Don the snorkeling equipment provided and plunge into this heavenly marine metropolis.

Lunch On the Boat: Take a break from your deep-sea discoveries and have a bite to eat on the boat before you return to snorkeling.

Dinner On Your Own: The Grand Rotana's outstanding restaurants offer an array of international cuisines, such as Italian, Arabic and even East-meets-West fusions. There's something to suit every palate, often with a view of the shimmering Red Sea.

Outdoor Disney Movie Night: Top off the evening with a special treat as you sit back and enjoy a Disney film on the resort's outdoor movie screen complete with popcorn.

Day 9 – Morning at the Grand Rotana
Spend the first part of the day luxuriating in the amenities of your seaside resort. Stroll over the bridge to the pool's island park, cool off with a refreshing drink in one of the bars, or just bask in the rays of the sun god Ra. Enjoy lunch on your own at one of the many resort restaurants before boarding a flight to Cairo in the afternoon.

Farewell Dinner and Entertainment: Bid a fond farewell to your fellow Adventurers during this private dinner at the hotel as dancers and musicians hold you spellbound with their exotic rhythms. Afterward, enjoy a special surprise as you relive the memories of your trip with your newfound friends.

Day 10 – Breakfast and Transfer to Airport
After breakfast at the resort, say "Maa al salama" to Egypt as you board pre-arranged transportation to Cairo International Airport.
