•   The ultimate Washington, DC, adventure – dinner and a special evening at the International Spy Museum

Day 1: Arrive Philadelphia
Welcome to Philadelphia, your first stop on America’s historic “road to independence.” A transfer is included from Philadelphia International Airport to the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, set in a perfect location in the heart of the city on Logan Square. Join us for a welcome reception and dinner at the hotel this evening.
Overnight: Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Meals Included: Dinner

Day 2: Step back in time on a tour of city sights
They call Philadelphia the “City of Brotherly Love.” Explore it on a guided sightseeing tour that begins at Independence National Historic Park. You’ll learn a lot about Benjamin Franklin’s Philadelphia on a walk through Independence Hall, the place where delegates from the original 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence and where the U.S. Constitution was adopted. See the 2,000-pound Liberty Bell, in its home at the Liberty Bell Center, and take a ride aboard a horse-drawn carriage to the 250-year-old Betsy Ross House. You’ll also visit the National Constitution Center and see Freedom Rising, a multimedia production that tells the story of the U.S. Constitution. Spend the remainder of the day exploring this historic city as you please.
Overnight: Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 3: Amish Country and Civil War Gettysburg
Lancaster County, the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, is home to Amish farms powered by horse and plow, without modern-day conveniences. Follow the extraordinary story of an Amish family at the state-of-the-art Amish Experience F/X Theater, then visit a homestead and have a family-style lunch. Travel through Pennsylvania farmland to Gettysburg for a memorable visit to Gettysburg National Military Park. Tour the park with a guide who shares insights about some of the most important conflicts in this significant 1863 Civil War battle; the 20,000-acre battlefield was also the site of President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. At an exclusive, private dessert reception tonight, a storyteller in period garb recounts the experience of a civilian who was caught in town July of 1863 – historical, educational and compelling!
Overnight: Wyndham Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 4: Learn about the U.S. Marines & dine colonially
Cross the infamous Mason-Dixon Line, the historic divider between north and south, as your journey through American history continues. Follow in the footsteps of the U.S. Marines at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Triangle, Virginia; interactive exhibits chronicle the history and accomplishments of these brave American patriots. Your destination for the next two nights is Colonial Williamsburg, where 18th-century America comes alive right before your eyes. Spend the next two nights in Williamsburg to immerse in the stories, legends and lore of this living history restoration. Sample an authentic taste of typical 18th-century fare at a colonial tavern tonight.
Overnight: Williamsburg Lodge, Williamsburg, Virginia
Meals Included: Breakfast, dinner

Day 5: A day in the life of Colonial Williamsburg
Experience life on the eve of the American Revolution in Colonial Williamsburg; go inside the restored Capitol building as well as colonial houses, shops, and more where you’ll meet historic interpreters in colonial dress who represent actual citizens from the 18th century – tradespeople, drilling militiamen, statesmen, merchants, housewives... You’ll step back in time and learn about what it was like to live day-to-day in Williamsburg as families go about their chores without electricity, hot running water, telephones, computers or television! The entire day is spent as you please – but with a very special ending when you join us for a candlelight storytelling “ghost tour.”
Overnight: Williamsburg Lodge, Williamsburg, Virginia
Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 6: George Washington's house and the Smithsonian
Travel to historic Mount Vernon today for a guided tour of George Washington’s beloved plantation overlooking the Potomac River; explore his house and learn what life was like for the “Father of Our Country.” You won’t believe the view that George and Martha had from their back porch! Arrive in the nation’s capital for a two-night stay at The Mayflower® Renaissance Washington, DC Hotel; your first visits are to museums at the Smithsonian – the popular National Air and Space Museum and the National Museum of the American Indian.
Overnight: The Mayflower Renaissance Washington, DC
Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 7: The national monuments, then it’s all about spies
See famous national landmarks today on a guided tour that shows you the Iwo Jima Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the White House and more. The remainder of the day is free to explore other sites in the capital. Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a spy? Well, tonight you get a chance to find out for yourself at our farewell reception and dinner at the International Spy Museum. You’ll learn all about the role spies have played throughout history – this interactive museum features the largest collection of international spy-related artifacts ever put on public display.
Overnight: The Mayflower Renaissance Washington, DC
Meals Included: Breakfast, dinner

Day 8: Journey Home
Tour ends: Washington, DC. Fly home anytime. A transfer is included from The Mayflower® Renaissance Washington, DC to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport or Washington Dulles International Airport. Allow a minimum of two hours for flight check-in.
