Windhoek, Heinitzburg Hotel:

Sossusvlei, Le Mirage Lodge:
Inspired by North African architecture, Le Mirage Desert Lodge and Spa is situated in the Namib Desert. From the distant road and from the air, the three lodge buildings built largely from local rock materials, form a natural part of the desert environment that is in harmony with nature.

The architecture takes on the ancient sensibilities of African rondavel design that allows for aeration in a hot climate, fused with Moroccan palatial designs. Skeleton Coast, Serra Cafema Camp:
Serra Cafema Camp is one of the most remote camps in all of Southern Africa and offers one of the most memorable experiences in Namibia. The small 16-bedded camp, whose only access is by aircraft, is located in the extreme northwest of Namibia. The camp is situated under big shady Albida trees overlooking the Kunene River and comprises eight canvas and thatched chalets that are raised off the ground, each with its own en-suite bathroom. Other facilities include a small swimming pool, dining room and bar. You go to sleep at night to the gurgling water sounds from the rapid just downstream from camp.

Serra Cafema shares this region with the wonderful and colorful Himba people, who are some of the last truly nomadic people of Africa. The camp is often visited by the nearby native families, giving you a rare opportunity to learn about their lifestyle and traditions.

Etosha National Park, Mushara Lodge:
Mushara Lodge is located near the Von Lindequist Gate on the eastern outskirts of the Etosha National Park. The name Mushara derives from the Purple Pod Terminalia tree, which grows in abundance on the lodge grounds and the surrounding area. The Lodge consists of 10 spacious and luxuriously furnished bungalows each with air-conditioning, mosquito net, minibar fridge, safe, tea and coffee-making facilities.

Mushara also features a beautiful, tiled, bright-blue swimming pool surrounded by lush, green lawn that is kept manicured by the occasionally visiting local wildlife. A lounge, bar and restaurant feature excellent cuisine and an extensive wine cellar.

DAYS 1 & 2, Monday & Tuesday - Depart for Windhoek, Namibia
Explore Windhoek, where history and beauty merge in quaint architecture, charming streets and gardens. Visit the seat of government and the Christuskirche church, whose spire is a town landmark.

DAYS 3 & 4, Wednesday & Thursday - Sossusvlei
An array of exotic desert plants, animals and massive dunes await, as you head into the Namib Rand Nature Reserve in four-wheel-drive vehicles. Our lodge, built into rock at the foot of a mountain in the heart of the Namib Desert.

DAYS 5 & 6, Friday & Saturday Swakopmund
Fly over the dunes to the Atlantic coast, discovering the diamond camps and shipwrecks of the Namibia Coast on the way. Explore Swakopmund, known for its old-world charm, and relax while enjoying coffee and cake in one of the many cafés found in Swakopmund. Enjoy a cruise to Walvis Bay.

DAYS 7 & 8, Sunday & Monday Twyfelfontein, Okahirongo Elephant Lodge, Kaokoland
Fly into Twyfelfontein to visit the rock engravings, a World Heritage Site, before continuing onto Okahirongo Elephant Lodge located in one of the the last wild areas in northwestern Namibia. Okahirongo shares this region with the nomadic Himba people. Catch sight of springboks, ostrich and oryx, and track the elusive desert-adapted elephant. Hike along the Uarosib River and enjoy a visit with local Himba families who will share their stories and traditions.
